Replacements Groezrock

There has been some shifting in the Groezrock line-up. I Am The Avalanche had to cancel, so Hostage Calm moved into their spot on the Etnies Stage. That meant they aren’t playing an acoustic set anymore, so two slots opened. Curious who Groezrock pulled in for the Fender Acoustic Stage?

First replacement is Mikey Erg. The singer of Off With Their Heads is known as a member from The Ergs, Star Fucking Hipsters and The Dopamines, but has been working on his solo-project for quite a while. Mikey has released his heart-shaped 12″ vinyl Songs From The Heart on Paper+Plastick last year. He will be playing at the Fender Acoustic Stage at 12.00h on Saturday 28th.

The other replacement, which surely is one to watch, is Dustin Kensrue of Thrice. Unlike Thrice, Kensrue’s work is more like Bruce Springsteen, Elvis Costello and Ryan Adams, combining country, folk and soul. If you want to get noticed by him, be sure to wear a bear costume; he likes bears. Kensrue has toured solo before under the name ‘Ursus Veritas‘, literary meaning ‘Bear Truth’. Kensrue will fill the spot at 18.00h at the Fender Acoustic Stage on Saturday 28th.
