Albany’s pop punk quintet State Champs has released the title track of their upcoming album “Around the World and Back“, and it is an acoustic one! Listen to the song below.
State Champs’ new album will be out October 16 through Pure Noise Records and is available for pre-order here. Earlier, the band released an acoustic album “The Acoustic Things” featuring songs from their debut album “The Finer Things”.
Title track “Around the World and Back” is an (overall) acoustic duet featuring guest vocals by Jule Vera’s front woman Ansley Newman. Front man Derek DiScanio explains to SubStream: “‘Around The World And Back’ is a song about commitment issues and finding a way to overcome them, live in the moment and embrace every opportunity at hand. It’s the first duet song we’ve ever done, and we’re very excited about it. Ansley’s voice is incredible and it’s very refreshing to hear the first female voice featured on a State Champs track.”
