A whole bunch of new names for Belgian punk/hardcore festival Groezrock has been announced. And for once, who cares: we’ll tell you all the new names! Ofcourse, we’ll focus a bit more on the acoustic acts.
The rumour of Frank Turner had been going on for days because of one sentence Groezrock put on Facebook, saying “something as simple as rock and roll would save us all”, referring to Turner’s song I Still Believe. Though Turner himself plays acoustic, he will not be performing on the Acoustic Stage. He and his backing band The Sleeping Souls will play on the main stage on Saturday April 27th.
Below are the new acts announced for the Acoustic Stage.

Walter Schreifels (Rival Schools/ Gorilla Biscuits)
Known for hardcore music, but a singer/songwriter by heart. He is currently working on his second full-length. Listen to two of his latest songs for his upcoming album here.
Dave Hause (The Loved Ones)
No stranger to Groezrock, as Hause has played the Acoustic Stage last year too. He is playing The Revival Tour in America before he comes over. Listen to him on Spotify.
Geoff Rickly (Thursday/United Nations)
Rickly too has been to Groezrock quite a few times, but with different bands. Now he's here to play solo on the Acoustic Stage.
Into It. Over It.
Evan Weis, the mind behind Into It. Over It., might just be the next big thing. Last year, Weis already played top festivals as Slam Dunk and The Fest. Listen to his music on Spotify.
Jonny Two Bags (Social Distortion/Youth Bridage)
Jonny "Two Bag" Wickersham, guitarist for Social Distortion. has only just released his first solo single in 2012 and will release his debut album in 2013. Listen to two of his songs over here.
Kristopher Roe (The Ataris)
Although he already gets to play Groezrock with his band The Ataris on Sunday, Kris Roe got another spot on the Acoustic Stage on Saturday.
